1. Small Business Awards

The New York Enterprise Report is sponsoring an awards program honoring small business operating in the New York Tri –State area. The awards program, the New York Enterprise Report Small Business Awards, will honor 5 small businesses for their accomplishments in one of five areas, including Human Resources, Leadership, Marketing, Sales or Technology. In addition to these awards, they will also honor supporters and advocates of small business. Nominations are due by June 16, 2006 . Winners will be announced at a gala on September 20, 2006 in NYC. 2. Supporter of Entrepreneurship Awards

The Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation is accepting nominations for the Supporter of Entrepreneurship Award. Winners will be those that have helped entrepreneurs become more successful. Award criteria include leadership, impact on entrepreneurship, originality, personal commitment, and the degree of difficulty. Nominations are due by June 30, 2006.
